Sunset Cove Resort - Cass Lake Chain

Just got back from 4 day trip with my 4 grandkids 11-15 years old, plenty for them to do….and everything exceeded my expectations. Nice cabins and facilities. Fishing was great and easy to figure out. First trip to this area, and definitely not my last! Planning another trip for September and next spring

On our way back home to Wisconsin so I thought I’d leave a review. We stayed for a week and brought our boat along. Their harbor is just steps from the cabins which was very convenient because we did a lot of fishing (bite and weather were A+). The cabin was well stocked with cooking utensils and many different sized pots and pans. The only thing I wish we would have known is that they don’t supply towels (there were a few hand towels) or soap (hand or dish). There is a dishwasher so you’d need to bring your own detergent as well. I really enjoyed the fact that we were only 5 miles from town where you have a grocery store, liquor store, bait shop and dollar store all right by each other. Very convenient. We are pretty self sufficient folks so we didn’t interact with the owners or staff

This past weekend was our 4 year in a row where we stayed at Sunset Cove. It’s always a weekend we look forward to every year. The reason why is because how great this resort is. We love the owners and the lake and will be coming back for years to come.

Before I tell you how great the burgers are you need to know a couple of things. Don't let the fact that this place doesn't look like a place that has a clue about making a great bar burger. Further when you drive down the hill and turn left (it's as good a guess as right) you have no idea where this place is that makes a real good burger. It's the building on the right before you see the boat docks. Don't worry about the modest exterior. For that matter interior either. Pick yourself a chair at the bar, one of the tables, maybe on the porch, or one of the ones outside and park it. A very nice young man promptly got our drink order, with drinks in hand came to get our burger order. Yes, there are other things on the menu, but remember we came for great burgers.
