The service was great everyone was friendly. The resort food was surprisingly good as well. The cabin itself left a bit to be desired. It was as clean as it could get, but very old and dingy. The ceiling had water damage in many places. The water smelled of rust the entire time from every faucet. I never once felt clean there unfortunately. But the lakeside view was pretty.

My wife's family and I spent a full week here on vacation and had an amazing time. The weather, the lake ,the cabins, the resort lodge, all of the accommodations made for a perfect family getaway. The overall layout of Morning Star resort is perfect. All of the cabins share an unbelievable view of the lake and are just steps away from the beach and boat docks. Each cabin has a dedicated outside firepit perfect for making s'mores and telling campfire stories. Ultimately, we had a great experience, and we wish we could have stayed there longer . Thanks again to all of the amazing staff and the unbelievably cool local resort residents!

A group of 12 in 4 cabins stayed at Morning Star Resort. We had one issue concerning bedding because no one in our group of 12 was notified about bringing our own bedding due to Covid-19. It is not on their website but they said they try to call everyone. The fixed the issue immediately and provided bedding for a few people in the group who had not brought their own. The resort and cabins were clean and in good condition. A few lights in the cabins did not work nor did the box fan they provided. I would suggest a fan or 2 in the summer months, although, they do have AC, they are window or portable units so hard to cool some of the rooms but it worked just fine. The lodge and restaurant have limited access due to Covid-19 and limited hours (maybe normal) but do have a beautiful patio area f

We brought a large group over for lunch. They only serve pizza on Monday and Tuesdays and 2 pizza ovens, but those ladies kept up! They kept our drinks filled and got our pizzas out as fast as possible. We stayed there years ago. Great beach and prices!

This resort was VERY kid friendly!! They had a swing set, a great beach area and the lodge even had space for them to play without needing to be supervised. The cabin was very clean and stocked with all the kitchen and bed linen necessities. It also had cable and central air. The lake had great fishing and it was close to bigger lakes.
