This is a small resort that has been on Big Pine Lake for decades. The original owner's son & his wife now own & run the resort. While not the most updated of cabins, each cabin at the resort is always clean, everything works & we go to this resort for the lake location, the terrific owners, the pretty good fishing and the wonderful sunsets. This resort doesn't advertise much, so if you can get in, consider yourselves lucky. Most clients found out about the resort by word of mouth, & most have been going to Sunset Beach for years, with generations of families making this their summer vacation destination. The owners, George & Sherry, are a couple of the nicest people you'll ever meet & if you get to stay at their resort, they will do everything possible to help ensure your stay excee

My family has been coming here for generations. I can vividly remember coming here as a small child and buying gummy worms from Sadie. Caught my first northern here, as well as walleye when I was a child. Now I have got to see my own daughter enjoy Sunset Beach as much as I did growing up. My father's time is limited and this is the one place he said that he needed to go. The trip was amazing and will stay with my family and I forever. You couldn't ask for better hosts than George and Sherry. My family truly appreciates the hospitality, warmth, and kindness. Really there is no place I would rather be. Thanks for all of the wonderful memories.

Owners of this resort, George & Sherry, could not be nicer. They strive to provide everything you might need while at their resort & typically succeed in exceeding their guest's expectations. The lakeside cabins provide a great view of Big Pine Lake & you usually have a breeze off the lake to help cool your cabin if needed. You can usually see "dockboy" & owner George, raking & cleaning the beach every day, sometimes, more than once a day. The beach is all sand, several docks to fish from and a very gradual slope to the lake whereby you can usually walk out several hundred feet and not find water higher than a couple of feet. The resort could not be more aptly named; shortly before sunset, most guests gather somewhere on the beach to watch a spectacular sunset. In over 60 years of staying
