Sun Valley Inn

This place is old and has really, really poor service. I quite honestly don’t get why anyone would stay here. There is no room service, everything closes early, every restaurant is full and snobby when you show up without a reservation. Granted this is Christmas time, but the hotel is extremely disappointing and run down. The floor boards creek and moan like an old bugs bunny cartoon. The Inn is essentially a glorified 2 star motel. The staff is slow to put it nicely, I am not joking when I say I actually feel bad even say this. They are hiring people who couldn’t get jobs anywhere else. The Lodge is a bit nicer but there are much better places to stay, including other hotels in the area. I hopefully will be able to check out early as this is just depressing. I am Monumentally let down

Shortly after I left the room after our stay a cleaning crew started to clean. My roommate said I left some things behind. When I went up stairs to get my apple watch and prescriptions in middle night stand drawer they were gone. Also drinks from fridge were gone. These items were never turned in. I also noticed no coffee in the morning on a couple occasions. We got poor information on the bus schedule that messed up our plans a bit. The pool and hot tub are nice bit it is a long walk there. It doesn't have a hotel feel because of the layout.

The inn is not quite as nice as the lodge but you get what you pay for. We try to spend a night there for our anniversary when we can. Konditorei is top notch for brunch and pastries.

Lovely resort and great restaurants. One recommendation- put 10 EV chargers her that have at least 60 kWh . Result all Tesla drivers end up here and spend money at your village and Hotel while you make extra income selling EV charging services . Why you only have tiny charger that runs only on 220 V is a mystery to me

Sun Valley is a beautiful place, especially in the fall. The Inn is very well appointed and kept up. It has a heritage feel, but I find that so charming. I had dinner at the Ram tonight - positively delicious! Sole stuffed with crab and a Caesar salad. The staff have been impeccably professional from registration to dinner. It is a little spendy here, but what a wonderful way to treat yourself! I highly recommend it!
