Great place to camp but bring an ATV or something because there isn't a whole lot to do in this area otherwise. We camped herd just to try out pulling a camping trailer. It was a great first experience for us. Roads were well maintained. Never saw the camp hosts. We stayed in campsite #19. Not as much shade in this one but it does offer a bit more space between neighbors.

Very pretty! Trees everywhere. We reserved camp site #1. This is a pull through, easy enough to fit two trailers in it. Trees on both sides. Plenty of shade. I loved how spaced the camp sites were, we didn't feel like we could hear much of others around us. There were a few group/double sites that were nicely sized. Lots of ATVs going around, but didn't seem overly crazy for 4th of July weekend. The weather changes a lot. Sunny one minute, raining (for five minutes) the next. The temperature was great- can't beat low to mid 70's in July.

Deep woods and large sites heavily used by ATVs. Clean vault toilets but NO Water due to broken pipe that forest service has not fixed in months. About 8 miles off Hwy 30 and 10 miles north of Montpelier for gas, etc. Elevation of 7200 makes for cool nights. Nice host!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here hiking through lovely forest and identifying the wildflowers. Our hardworking camp host, Tanya, was friendly and helpful. She had a map of the area available and provided good information. Bathrooms were clean. This small campground is host to many ATVs and dirt bikes - if the group sites are full, it could be extremely noisy and chaotic.
