Suites on Main

When we arrived there was a problem with the room. I called the friendly manager, and we were given a different, bigger suite. It got taken care of after we'd been there for just a few minutes. This is not a fancy establishment. It's like living in someone's home, complete with squeaky stairs and the occasional bit of chipped paint. But it was very reasonably priced, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked so well it got a little chilly on a weekend when the temp was consistently in the 90s. Again, this ain't the Ritz, but well worth the money.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed. Filthy. Bed was so uncomfortable and squeaky. Pillows smelled. I didn’t dare sleep under the sheets. And the couch was broken so it sloped down and you couldn’t sit comfortably. Just awful. And there was no breakfast. We left and didn’t bother staying the second night. Nor did we even try to get money back for the second night. Won’t ever be back there !! And literally nothing was open in the town other than a supermarket.

I didn’t want to believe the terrible reviews given to the Suites on Main….but they were right on point! From the dirty and poorly marked entrance, to the damp that pervaded the one bedroom unit on the first floor (which did have a strange doorway in the bedroom that led to a concrete hallway—very unsafe), to the shower temperature regulator that didn’t work so you either had a freezing or scalding shower, to a bath towel so small that I went out and bought two large ones from Dollar General, the unit just felt tired and dirty. I will give credit that check in was completely contactless and there was milk in the fridge and small boxes of cereal for breakfast along with a coffee maker, and the location is quite convenient for walking around town. I get a kick out of the 1 star reviews from people expecting the lap of luxury. This is a small town. The rooms are clean, the prices are reasonable, the TV works and they include stuff for breakfast. That's more than enough to make me a happy customer.

My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom on first floor. Location and value are good. Place definitely needed updating. Mismatched bath towels with frayed edges shows that owners are not willing to put in any efforts to update. My main issue was specific to this room. We were told there was keypad to enter unit. Upon arrival, our door into our suite was unlocked and there was a set of keys on kitchen table. So we had to use the key which wasnt a big deal until one night, the key would not unlock the door and we had to call management to come and open our door. But that was still not the main safety concern. This unit had a door in the bedroom with a bathroom type lock that led into this unfinished ally concrete ally way where there were electrical boxes and at end of the hall there w
