Studio 6 Orange, TX

My husband and I have been staying here for almost a year love the hotel ; housekeeping ladies always maintaining our room clean and the front desk lady Chantel has been very helpful to us and shes easy to talk to in case of anything we night need in our room which makes it even better I just love it that I don't want to move from here

This was the most horrific experience ever. The outside of the hotel is a smokescreen, because when you step outside of the lobby. You step back into 1980. The are do for renovations immediately. Everything is so outdated the carpet throughout the hotel is soiled and needs to replaced it’s beyond cleaning. Our room had an old stall smell to it. The walls were covered with old smashed bugs. It was so gross. Let’s talk about the tv, it was a 19 inch plasma tv. The first one yo ever come out. It was so small we could even watch it. Omg…..the restroom was creepy the tub was filthy the restroom needs to be thrown in the trash. It was a complete FAIL.

In our experience, the hotel offers a comfortable stay, with a very nice pool and a friendly, attentive staff. However, a few areas could be improved, such as the maintenance of the air conditioners, as they release an unpleasant odor, pest control in the kitchen areas, and the interior cleaning of the laundry machines, which need proper maintenance. We also noticed that the snack machines have issues dispensing some items, as they tend to get stuck. If these details were improved, the hotel would definitely gain an extra plus in overall service quality.

Someone has a MASTER KEY! Around 6 a.m. I was awakened by the door handle jiggling. Then I heard a key being slid in, the door handle turn and then the door lightly contact the flip out door lock. The door closed slowly and then the same process repeated itself again. By this time I was up, and when I got to the door and open palm punched the door and yelled loudly "Stay the f**k out if our room." Of course this woke my good lady up with a bit of a fright. We attended a friend's wedding the night before and were not feeling terribly sort, so I didn't think to call the front desk. ||||So, when we checked out 03Nov24, we told the desk guy about it and asked him to replay the tapes from 0600 to 0700 to find out who had tried to enter our room. He blew us off and would not even address

I recently stayed at Studio 6 in Orange, Texas, for a quick overnight trip, and while the room itself was basic and clean enough for the price, I have to give it two stars, because zero isn't an option, but one major issue that ruined the experience. The lobby and main entrance area smelled absolutely terrible-they greet you like a swamp monster's armpit? We're talking a glorious bouquet of mold, mugginess, and some mysterious wet, funky stench that slaps you in the face the second you dare to enter. It was so "charming" that checking in felt like a endurance test, and bonus points: the aroma clung to my clothes like a bad ex. I don't know if it's poor ventilation or water damage, but it needs to be addressed ASAP. Wouldn't recommend unless you're desperate and can hold your breath!
