Studio 6 Extended Stay - Ocean Springs, MS

Wow! This stay exceeded our desperate expectations! It is all we could find available and we had never stayed in a Motel 6. Stephanie was so kind upon check in and the location was perfect. The room was spotless and had a nice size fridge, great shower and clean linens. Highly recommend!

Positive: Nothing at all! Negative: There were roaches! When I spoke about them, the staff wasn’t in a hurry to accommodate. It’s almost as if they are used to them! Disgusting!

I’ll start with the only positive: we got a great deal on the price. However, this is a classic case of "you get what you pay for," and unfortunately, the savings weren't worth the headache. The biggest issue is their incredibly outdated key card system. The cards they use are so sensitive that they demagnetize if they are anywhere near electronic equipment. We had to be constantly paranoid about keeping them away from our phones or any other devices just to ensure they’d work. It eventually became a nightmare when we were actually locked out of our room for an entire night because the card failed. We ended up having to sleep in our car. Check in was easy and efficient. Exterior well-kept and clean. Parking lot well lit. Parking available close to room. The room was very clean, cute decor, AC worked great. The only upgrade i would recommend for the room would be a smart TV, as we prefer streaming over cable, but TV was good with sufficient channels. ||I will admit I was a little apprehensive when i noticed that some of the guests were more “long term” but I had no need to be. There was not a lot of traffic in and out. No loitering. Very quiet. Quieter than most other hotels. ||Great stay, great price. Will stay again.

We got upgraded to a premium room by the wonderful front desk agent. Room was very clean with a small kitchenette. Shower was amazing! Staff were super nice, and even looked up the distance to our favorite watering hole. We usually stay on Government Street. This place is a bit dislocated for us, but worth the short drive!
