Stroppel Hotel and Mineral Baths

Exactly what I needed. In Montana I would go to one of the many hot springs once a week. Moved to rural SD and a coworker took me to this gem. Tranquility is an understatement. Self care is important and will be going here at least once a month. And the guy working there was way cool. 5/5

Great experience. This historic hotel is in a secluded area of the state. The hot mineral plunges are amazing. I recommend the plunge and massage chair package. The owner is great and tells awesome stories of the hotel and history of the area.

First and foremost this is a HISTORIC building built in 1890 and then moved to this location in (I believe) 1907. The owners have slowly been updating the hotel since acquiring it but there are only so many retrofits you can do on a building of this age (some modern things just won’t fit) It’s exceptionally clean and tidy! The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious; we had a suite room with 2 beds and a bathroom. The common area reminds me and feels like grandmas living room in that it is a cozy little space and a great place to hang out and visit. My kiddo and husband broke out the games they have on hand for a Jenga battle. We had a spectacular time in the plunges. I intentionally chose this hotel for its mineral spa on my 5k mile motorcycle trip. I wanted the hot mineral bath experience to relax during the trip. It was a phenomenal experience and left me rejuvenated for the ride ahead. I would especially recommend this hotel for riders if they can work it into their route as it will leave them refreshed for continuing on their journey. There is also a very comfortable common room you can wind down in if you’re riding solo or spend time with the riders in your group.
