Stony Brook Cabins

My husband and I just stayed in the cerenity studio cabin for our 10 year anniversary. It was very quiet and beautiful. The cabin was easy to find. There were other cabins right next to it, but it still felt very private with the trees. We were called and texted before and all throughout the stay to make sure everything was okay with the cabin. The cabin was well stocked with things we needed like enough towels, small bottles of soaps, and things for the kitchen. The hot tub was clean and worked great. The lid was a little hard to get on and off with the position of the hot tub on the deck. The furniture inside the livingroom was uncomfortable. I could tell pets had been on the couch from previous stays, but it wasn't a big deal because we sat on the back deck most of the time. There was a

Our 1 bedroom cabin had not a single picture on the wall or rug on the floor or even a bear sillouette as is common here. No decorations to make it feel like home and nothing to make it cozy. Pics attached..felt very sterile. The Internet didn't work at all and there was no cable/satellite box in the cabin so it was funny talking to tech support when they asked us to reset it. They brought us a new router in the morning and the Internet was so slow we couldn't even stream anything to the smart tv. Which was necessary since we had no cable/satellite box. They told us they would have to get with the provider to get a sattelite box and that would take a while (like after we're gone). We never saw it. The kitchen didn't even have small things you might expect like salt/pepper shakers.

I would like to start off by saying Rhonda is an actual gem and is wonderful to speak with. The Scenic Solitude cabin was great, clean, had a private backyard and just overall felt very private (I am very particular about this lol). The road is extremely quiet and peaceful, and the backyard view is gorgeous. The only thing I can recommend is new cookware, the pots and pans had the nonstick coating scraping off so we did not feel comfortable using it. Lots of entertainment options at the cabin and locally. The beds were extremely comfortable and the place genuinely felt clean. Thank you for having us!!

We stayed at Splash Villa and they didn't disappoint. Everything was like the online pictures. The hot tub and grill area were covered. They had thick, comfortable, soft throw blankets in every room. They thought of everything for the kitchen dinnerware and cooking supplies. Very up-to-date. The indoor amenities (pool, pool table, game arcade, and theater room) were top notch. The customer service responded in a timely fashion and weren't quick to rush you off the phone. If you want to feel like your at home relaxed, definitely try this cabin. I could go on and on. I am a travel agent my family asked me to book the family vacation. One look at Stony Brook cabins and I was sold. The views are absolutely spectacular & majestic. The best I have seen. The ride up was intriguing a little intimidating at first but fun. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. It accommodated 11 of us easily. It’s nicely located near small & large shops & restaurants. Rather you stay in or go out there is plenty to do. The hot tub is amazing and everyone truly did feel that they had the best room. A bonus was seeing three black bears and later a mother and her cub.
