Homegrown Hideaways: Golden Bear Lodge

Our stay at Chris and Morgan’s stay was great. It’s a very nice house, kept up to date and very clean. They responded very quickly and were very tentative if we needed anything. We really enjoyed the “extras” they provided such as the video game, pool table, and connect 4. We had 6 adults and 5 children (ages 4 months to 5 years) and we all had a great time and enjoyed the stay. We even saw a momma bear and 4 cubs walking down the road right not too far from the house! Such a cool experience!

We had such an incredible time at Golden Bear Lodge! The house was amazingly clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for our family of 9 and our 3 friends. The kids had a blast in the game room and hot tub. The location was perfect for our basketball tournament at Rocky Top, and the grocery store was very conveniently located right down the street. We had a couple very minor fixes that needed addressing while we were there, and the host was very quick to respond and get everything perfect for us. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend staying at Golden Bear Lodge for your perfect mountain getaway!

I can’t say enough good things about this rental! We loved that it was one floor especially with children. The layout is wonderful. Everything was so clean! The beds were comfortable. We cooked Easter dinner and had the necessary cookware we needed and the table is plenty big to accommodate a large group. Chris and Morgan’s communication was always immediate and they were wonderful to deal with! I would highly recommend this rental. The location is close to everything and there’s so much nearby!l along with the amenities on property. When we return we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful & the hosts were exceptional. The cabin was very spacious & accommodated our whole group easily. It had everything that was listed in the description & looked exactly as the photos showed. The hosts left very detailed instructions for arrival & departure. They also had detailed instructions on how to use every amenity & included photos with directions. The cabin was very clean & well kept. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful & fun stay in the beautiful mountains! Thank you Chris & Morgan for the wonderful stay!

The cabin was perfectly clean and roomy. Our trip included a family of 14 (9 adults & 5 kids) and we had enough space for everyone. The hosts provided us with a crib for the 9 month old. The game room includes everything you need to enjoy your time when in the cabin. We pretty much played it all; pool, arcade games, poker, uno and other puzzle games. The kitchen was equipped with all the silverware you need during your stay and the bedrooms had extra covers in the closets. Bathrooms are squeaky clean and included enough towels for everyone. Worth mentioning, the hosts are great and responsive. We were unable to locate the iron and Morgan was quick to order a new iron and get it delivered to us a few hours after she learned about it. After our trip, we felt satisfied we got value wise. I
