Stillwater Lodge

Stillwater lodge is by far the most accommodating and welcoming place I’ve ever stayed at. Mark (the owner) felt like family. We grilled out most nights and swapped stories with Mark. He is a wealth of knowledge on the towns history and just an all around good guy. The rooms were comfortable and clean. 10/10

I have never in my life had a worse experience at a hotel! In fact the owner Mark encouraged me to post this review while he was verbally beating down my 84 year old friend in the parking lot of the hotel. How did this begin you might be asking. We arrived at the hotel the day of our reservation. No one in the office to check us in. The note one the door said to ring the door bell, if that doesn’t work the dog barking will get there attention. If no one comes to the door please use the telephone to the left of the door and call this number for assistance. My friend made the reservation so he called the number. Mark had answered the phone. Mark immediately became irritated because we didn’t know what room we were staying in. Communication that was never given while making reservations. My f

Dog upstairs barked all night- finally got up to leave at 2:30AM- no coffee cups or coffee pods for the pot. Was clean and the double bed was not very comfortable. Good location downtown. If going to Tippet Rise suggest staying in Columbus or if local- go home.

We have stayed here before and will stay here again if the occasion presents. These are clean, pleasant, comfortable rooms, and a great value. The owners, a couple, care very much for their guests. We always prefer family owned accommodations over hotel chains.

What a quaint little motel this is! The owners are both great folks and we chatted with Mark several times. Our room was decorated very nicely with a small town, western feel. The price was very affordable and we felt we got our money's worth. Christine and I were both very pleased with our stay and plan on coming back in the future.
