STILE Downtown Los Angeles

Just checked in today and staying for another 4 nights but damn this room clearly hasn’t been properly cleaned in ages! There’s hair, random crap, dust etc all alongside and behind the bed, spots that are even quite easily accessible, as shown in the video. Beyond that all the cabinets etc and furniture is very dusty, and the desk has clearly not been wiped in a while either. Praying for no bed bugs at least, but not the best chances based on the rest of the room! Front desk people were nice at check in, but at the end of the day that can’t save a lack of cleanliness… A clean room is the bare minimum level of any hotel in my opinion! Edit: Ran into housekeeping this morning and requested an extra cleaning, so they did vacuum a round which helped a bit for sure. However this place 100% sho

Such a cool historic hotel with an incredible theatre attached. Staff were amazing! I loved my stay here. The rooftop bar was awesome!

This hotel has a fantastic design, art deco meets brutalist with a modern art flare. The rooms was comfortable and modern. I love the cubbies for storage. There is a great coffee shop on the ground floor, the drip coffee is fantastic. Roof top bar is worth checking out and there is also a very well supplied workout room. This building is well located with access to many cool spots downtown. Definitely recommend staying here! We also tried the self driving Waymo cars and it made things very convenient.

Love my room. The bed was so comfy. Complimentary beauty masks and an electric teakettle made my stay extra nice. The room was retro cool and funky. I loved looking out to all the high rises. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. The location was fantastic as there is a 24 hour delicious cheap taco place right next door. My uber to the Los Angeles convention center was only $10 and dropped me right at the door (instead of paying $40 for parking and walking 25 mins to the venue). Oh and the rooftop bar was super cool too. I’ll always stay here when I am needing lodging in DTLA.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the STILE. Check in and check out were easy, and the interior design was interesting and beautiful. The free drip coffee they provided in the morning in the lobby was so good, we made sure to grab a cup every day! The rooms: We enjoyed the complimentary face masks and the korean toiletries that were provided. The beds are very hard. If you like a pillowy soft mattress, this is not the place for you. The beds were really the only downside of the rooms. Given that it was a renovated hotel they were able to fit rooms together in a way that was a creative way to use the space.
