Steelhead Lodge and Joe's Smokehouse

This place was a breath of fresh air. The staff made you feel like family. The food was amazing. I will be returning! ||Upon arrival we were greeted by Char. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good trip and she prepared some great meals for us. When you stay here you will feel like you are family!

No frills but a great place. Staff and guests were all friendly. Few different spots outside to hang out, stairs down to the river, clean, and right off the main road. We were in the cheaper rooms which were a little small. At first not having a tv seemed bad, but realizing no neighboring rooms would have the tv on late made it better. Would definitely stay here again.

We just got back from a fantastic Steelhead trip, we booked the Steelhead Lodge, and it was out first time staying there, and it won't be our last. We went at the end of February right before the Steelhead season kicks into gear, and much more crowded on the river. We were lucky to be able to book the Tackle Room, and we were very pleasantly surprised how great the room was. It has 5 bunk beds for a total of 10 beds, for 3 people it was ploenty of room for ourselves and gear, this room has 2 full baths...amazingly rare and so convenient to have two separate toilets and showers. The room also had a table, flat screen, sofa, coffee maker and a full size fridge....all rates are all inclusive which means the room rate includes a continental breakfast with a very good selection, and dinner, the

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have no comment about the lodging or food. However, our group went tubing, which is an activity they offer. I would NOT recommend doing this. It's extremely dangerous and should only be done if you have experience. The owner made a comment yesterday about how she would not personally go out on the water but let customers do it. To be clear, we went the day after that comment (today) and there were tons of trees down and fishing line tangled in the branches. She "warned" us of the trees and told us to avoid them, which is next to impossible as there isn't anything to actually steer with. My tube popped, and the only reason I was able to make it back was because of a nice fisherman who happened to have an air pump and tape with him. Otherwise

If there was a zero star option that is what the tubing experience would get. It was super unsafe. There was trees down and super strong currents that we were not told about. We had a group of 19 who all got slammed into a fallen tree and had a bunch of people almost drown. We were all fighting for our lives! We were told we could touch the ground the whole way down but that was not the case. They should have to check out the river before they just let people go down it. Somebody could get seriously hurt or die. It is no joke! I would not recommend this for anyone; let alone people with children. When we got back the people that provided us with tubes had no concern for our lives and had no input what-so ever. All these people want is your money and do not care what happens to you. So if y
