SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mystic Waterford

I was travelling from NJ to MA for my daughter's first Patriots game and wanted to find a Marriott along the way to break up the trip and I should have just stayed at one in NJ and dealt with the driving. This location should be demoted to one of the lower tiers of Marriott hotels. I've stayed at Fairfields in poor areas and had better rooms than I did at this Springhill Suites. The bathroom had mold spots and the ceiling had been painted over the shower indicating that even more mold was being covered up. Had the bathroom been included in the pictures on the website showing how dated it was, I would have booked somewhere else. I guess they were afraid that people wouldn't want to stay there if they saw how old the bathrooms (and therefore everything else) were. The couch cushions were all

We were in the area for a volleyball tournament. The amenities here were perfect. We ended up with an extra teammate in our roome and the pull-ou couch was perfect! Breakfast was good with lots of options. We will stay here again. Thanks!

Whilst this hotel is not fancy, the staff makes you feel like you’re in a five star resort! The General Manager, John, went above and beyond to make our say amazing. He gave us great tips on things to do, especially since it was rainy. They had afternoon hot beverage self serve waiting for us when we came in and breakfast is included, with a lot of options to meet every diet. I just can’t say enough about the staff though and how amazing of an experience it was. They are located about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Mystic Village and Mystic Seaport and offer plenty of free parking. The hotel was nice and clean. The room was roomy as we had two queens and a pull out with a little refrigerator/desk area. A nice feature was the desk area however nightstands on both sides of the bed with USB plugs would have been much appreciated. Due to Covid the pool was not open, the small weight room is by appointment only and the breakfast was only a bag breakfast for a very short period of time. Overall a nice place to stay as it is convenient but could use some upgrades or lower prices to be more reflective of what you’re getting. .

This was our second time staying at SpringHill Suites. The pool is a heated indoor pool that we noticed is cleaned every day. It's a great temperature with plenty of seating. The provided breakfast had an excellent selection. During our stay in February there was a hot chocolate station in the lobby in the day. This trip during summer they provided lemonade and ice tea. While there were some spots in the room that needed some refurbishment, we felt it smelled clean and spacious. This is our go to place for our Mystic weekend trips. The staff is what sets this hotel apart from others in the area. They are very professional and helpful. We will be making our third trip here soon. Thank you for an amazing trip.
