SpringHill Suites by Marriott Mobile

Nice and clean big room with fridge and microwave and some amenities. . Room was lacking USB ports. Older lamps and work station. Bed was very comfortable. Free wifi which was good right to the parking lot. Very good hot continental breakfast. Outdoor sitting area. Outdoor swimming pool. No patio doors for ground level floors.

The Springhill Suites in Mobile, AL was an older hotel and it showed. The towels were old and looked stained. We would have used them for rags at my house. The bathroom caulk job looked like a 3rd grader applied the caulk. Hallway carpets need to be cleaned. The breakfast was not anywhere close to what I have experienced at other Springhill Suites (eg. Coralville, Iowa) .... and I even paid extra for the breakfast. We didn't get anything at the breakfast other than coffee.|However, the young lady at my check-in was fantastic! She made me feel welcome and important as a guest.|This is about what I have come to expect at all hotels. They are simply not well taken care for and not worth the $$$ we pay to stay at them. All the staff was excellent and made my stay a wonderful trip. I was working, so they made it easy to function at the hotel room. Loved the desk set up and internet was steady. Because I was there for a week, I had been concerned about a comment made about water pressure. However, the only issue I had was with the shower stall having nowhere to set conditioner or other shower items. Without a tub edge, it is quite a pain to have conditioner, shower gel on the floor. The room was very clean and well maintained during my stay – Thank you all!

Update (01-09-26): The complaint I filed with Mariott corporate resulted in 5000 points being placed on my Bonvoy account. I have no idea why they think I would want to spend another night at a Mariott-branded hotel. Update (01-08-26): The owners responded to my review with a message very similar to the messages they've posted for others with similar concerns. They know that their hotel has issues, and have not done anything to address them. You should pay attention to the reviews from Google, not from other sources. They seem to be more honest. tl;dr - If this place wants to be a three-star, it literally needs to clean up its act. If it wants to be a less clean two-star, its prices need to reflect that. When I got to my room the thermostat was set on cool (it's 30° outside) and the room was 64°. I changed it to heat and set the thermostat to 72° and went to sleep. When I woke up FREEZING in the morning I checked and it was 65°. The next night I wasn't playing, so I set the thermostat to 90° and turned the fan from "Auto" to "On" and it took 6 hours for it to reach 72°, and it stayed at 72° all night. So, that's my tip if you stay here in winter. Breakfast was fine but very crowded.
