Springbrook Family Campground

This place is awful! We had a tree fall on our camper the first week and things went downhill from there. Dead trees for electric poles, horrible roads, muddy campsites, and best of all nasty owners who attack people for posting negative reviews! I actually had their daughter threaten to sue me! Yep this is the level of greedy people you will deal with here. We stayed here for work and had no choice as all the other campgrounds were booked up, so we were stuck in this mud pit. Sunday night we had a lot of rain and we woke up Monday morning to about 5” of water on the ground. The water drained off and we cleaned up the mess which consisted mostly of putting all my tools and such inside my gazebo on top of a table. Camping Nightmare! Stayed at this campground and our 30 Amp connection wouldn't work. Told the office and the owner came out and fixed it, nice guy, we thought great, nice place. The next night 4 AM water is rushing across our campsite, getting higher by the minute. Rushed out with wife and three kids, and somehow managed to get truck through the current to safety (later found out force of water damaged the bumper). Our friends were not so lucky, their truck engine got water in it and they had to abandon it. They were lucky to be near a camper with a bigger truck who was able to get them, their girls and their dog to safety. We were all terrified and our kids are having nightmares and anxiety. We have been camping here every year since 2020. Very laid back. Nice pool and park. Everyone we meet is super friendly. Close to Knoebels and Centraila.

Would give no stars if could. Avoid this place at ALL COSTS! Very confrontational and rude owners and their kids who don’t even live or work at the campground constantly go online and argue with anyone who gives them a negative review. After finally getting called out on their faulty management style they took down their review section on Facebook. A business with nothing to hide or worry about would not need to go to these extents. If looking for a calm place to go whether it be for traveling work or a family vacation, I advise you stay any place but here.

Very poor experience, we will never stay here again and encourage everyone to think twice before they book. 1. Got to the campground and noticed it was very run down and out dated. Certainly wasn’t a welcome atmosphere. 2. Our cabin rental had NO linens (bedding, towels, etc). So we called and complained. We have been traveling for years and nowhere on their website or in the confirmation email did it say anything about bringing your own stuff. We asked for a refund and were going to get a hotel but they would only give us 1 night back and said they couldn’t leave linens “because of people having bedbugs.” It was late and we were tired so we sucked it up and went to the store to buy pillows, bedding and towels. 3.
