Spring Gulch Campground

The Elite sites are very nice. The management staff needs to be more flexible. There were multiple campers blocking access at the entrance because it was 12:50 and check in is 1:00. The woman refused to let anyone in without charging the $30 early check in fee. I get "it's policy" but in my 30+ years camping at countless campgrounds I've never experienced this rigid policy. This doesn't happen at family-owned campgrounds, they have flexibility and don't start arguments over 10 minutes. If she knew how to speak to people with any kind of tact she could have diffused the situation but was confrontational and escalated the situation.

Great camp site. We've rented units for country line dance weekends. It's always a great time. Units are clean, cozy, and have what we need for a weekend away. Campground is quiet, employees are helpful, and the camp store even sells ice cream. We eat out most meals with plenty of options nearby.

Our family loves Spring Gulch! Great camping fun with all amenities necessary for a great time! Clean bathrooms, great water and electric for our tent sites but best of all are the activities for the kids during October!

We rented this cabin just to sleep at night. We were up early each day shopping and exploring new places we have not visited before. Cabin was clean and very comfortable except the beds. They were covered in a plastic mattress cover which make noise when moving around and it made the bed hot. To compensate, we turned a/c down. Microwave quit working but they were prompt in fixing the problem. We will be there again

I am heartbroken. My review of Spring Gulch Campground has gone from a 5 star to a 1 star. A long review, but I hope you feel it is worth the read. ||||My family and I have traveled from New Hampshire to Pennsylvania almost every year for over 30 years and only stay at Spring Gulch Campground. We stayed in the A-frame that first year and fell in love with it. Now, we only stay at Spring Gulch and only rent the A-frame because of what they have to offer. We love the campground because of pools, the tennis court, the mini golf course, and its proximity to surrounding eateries (Shady Maple Smorgasbord is the best!), Hershey Park, Sesame Place, and Philadelphia.
