Splash Beach Resort - Panama City Beach Vacation Rentals

We stayed here for a week at the end of September 2025. It’s a nice place and we enjoyed it but we will not be returning. They do not properly clean their pools/hot tubs. My daughter is 2 and it was her first beach trip and I allowed her to sit in the hot tub for a few minutes at a time (when I mean sitting she sat on the first step so only her bottom and legs were in the hot tub) because their kid area was freezing cold water. It was the first and only time she’s been in one. After returning from the beach we went to see a dermatologist due to a rash on her bottom that came up the last two days of us being there and she was diagnosed with hot tub folliculitis and molluscum contagiosum from their hot tub.

the resort itself could use some improvement. The elevator was unreliable, several snack bars and amenities were closed, and the overall cleanliness of the property was not as expected. The cleaning staff seemed overwhelmed or unwell, and there didn’t appear to be any on-site security, which made us feel uneasy at times.||We experienced quite a few rude looks and comments from other (mostly older) guests toward our family, which was really disappointing. Our children are very well-behaved, and it’s sad to see a resort that should be family-friendly feel so unwelcoming to larger families. ||While our hosts were excellent and not at fault for these issues, the resort management definitely has some areas to address before we would consider returning.

This was an amazing getaway. Goods: Has a small water area for kids. Right on the beach. Beautiful views from the Balcony, had a nice bunk bed for kids, very well maintained. Bads: During the summer season the humidity can cause the floor to get wet and slippery. Need to keep the rooms closed in order to avoid that. There were no extra rugs to clean when it so happened.

Location was great. Beautiful beach and loved the complimentary umbrella and lounge chairs. Pamela at reservation desk was very helpful. Ubit 102w is great location as 1st floor minimum elevator wait and stairs make it easy to get around.

Splash is great for families with children. There is plenty of fun for the kids. We did find the pools and Splash pad to be quiet full. The room is nice and clean. The beds are comfortable too. The one piece of advice, the room has no cleaning services during stay and aside from a starter box for dishwasher and dish liquid, nothing more is provided. Of course there is a washer and dryer in room (also bring your own detergent) and you can wash and reuse towels. If you want a quiet getaway around the pool, you're not getting it here. I am not complaining, we brought our adult children and 3 y/o grandbabies, it is perfect for the kiddos.
