Spearfish Canyon Lodge

This place is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, which is saying a lot considering how much time I spend in hotels. The whole property is gorgeous and the rooms are so charming and absolutely spotless. The toiletries and bath linens were nicer than some hotels that are twice as expensive. The staff were amazing too. We had a big group here for a wedding and they took such great care of us. I will definitely be finding an excuse to come back sometime in the future!

Our first stay here was awesome! Beautiful views all around, nearby river and waterfall. Staff (front desk, bar, housekeeping) were all great! Beautiful place for a wedding. Hot tubs on the upper deck and being greated by the little bear friend (for sale at the gift shop) were also cool! Great cocktails and pizza at the bar!

We arrived too late to have dinner at the restaurant but we had a wonderful time at the bar!!! We ordered pizza and the cheese and crackers it was wonderful! My husband talked whiskey with the bartender and she was so informative and very attentive. Her name was Rachel! She made us feel at home and well taken care of! Also the cocktails were wonderful!

My wife and I travel the United States of America and have been to and seen so many wonderful places. But by far and above we keep going back to Spearfish Canyon, SD and staying at Spearfish Canyon Lodge. |It’s huge, beautiful, luxurious and money friendly. Hosts 40 rooms and suites, the 2 executive suites are huge and the mini suites are amazing. |Across the way is the historic and notorious Latchstring Restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and supper 7 days a week. |Now getting back to the Lodge, it has the “Roughlock Lounge” serving seasonal cocktails, the best pizza ever and meat&cheese boards. The gift shop is a true plus also. |The lobby hosts a huge 50’ fireplace and has much wonderful furniture for seating and tables for game playing.|The staff is wonderful and accommodating. I give

Positive: The location and view are amazing! Negative: The room wasn’t fully cleaned and it was comparable to a much cheaper National hotel chain.
