Spark by Hilton Guilford

We stayed here for two days over the blizzard. It was really amazing how well they shoveled and plowed by the time the snow ended considering what it looked like at 6 am. The room was fine. Maybe a bit small but it was very clean and fine for us. Breakfast bar was appreciated. Jerry at the front desk was wonderful! Will definitely stay again. Just wanted to add an edit but we didn't experience any excess noise at all. In fact it was very quiet and there were quite a few people staying there. I didn''t even hear the 50 mph wind gusts that we had for most of the day of the blizzard

I really enjoyed my stay at the Spark by Hilton Guilford, especially because of the location. It’s in a perfect spot—very close to the shoreline and just a short drive to local shops, restaurants, and the town center. It made it really easy to explore the area without having to travel far. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus as well. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m visiting the shoreline area!

I was surprised this hotel had the Hilton name on it. Yes, it was clean and provided a continental breakfast. The pluses stop there. No one at front desk. I had to call. 4 channels on TV. I heard the TV in room below me. No bottled water in room even for $. No coffee or any amenities in room. I did not like the bed but my husband said ok. Apparently they purchased this from Comfort Inn. Does not deserve Hilton name. I am going back to marriotts! Very very basic and not deserving Hilton name unless they make some changes.

Positive: The staff was friendly and professional. The facility was VERY clean. The hotel was quiet. My room was very comfortable. They did a great job accommodating my chemical sensitivity. I'd recommend this hotel to any traveller! Negative: ""

Well, the rooms were clean, which was good. And the air worked well. But it still looks and feels like a budget hotel. I guess Hilton is going cheap. The walls are thin, and I heard every sound from next door and the hall. There wasn't a micro wave around (but there was a fridge). However, the worst things is that my door didn't fully close/lock. When I said something at the front desk at first the response was, yeah it's not easy to close. Then they looked into it. I was checking out when I noticed, so then I left. The sheets and towels weren't very good.
