Probably our favorite site on this hike. Lots of room for multiple tents and multiple spots for hammocks. Very open spot on top of hill and bugs were not a problem. The beaver pond is dry, but water was not a problem. It is straight down the hill from the fire pit. Just go out the camp entrance and turn left (SOBO) and go around hill and the creek will be on your right.

Campsite is decent, with basic amenities such as a firepit, benches, multiple tent pads, and a water source. Site also has plenty of trees for hammock campers. The water source isn't the greatest, draining out of a marshland, with an old beaver dam approximately 100m up stream. Alternatively, you can just pull water directly from the pond. Additionally, approximately 3 miles north on the Superior Hiking Trail Carlson creek is much cleaner, and cooler. The scenery is wonderful, with the campsite sitting atop a hill surrounded by a marshy pond, a creek, and countless spruce trees. You may hear wolves at night, and see moose in the morning. With this wetland scenery comes numerous mosquitoes late spring through the end of summer, so be prepared.

Nice camp site. It right next a beautiful beaver pond. You can even hear the beavers whack their tails.

Fairly big site just above the trail. Water access in a pond is ok.

Not bad. Has everything you need. My only complaint is that water access was a little tricky when I was there.
