South Branch Inn Romney

We loved the hotel. Was very decorated for the season when we stayed in December of 2024 for our trip on the Polar Express on the Potomac Eagle Railroad. Room was very clean and well kept up! Also very reasonably priced for our family. Would definitely look to stay here again if we are ever in the area.

I brought my family out to stay overnight because we were doing the Potomac Eagle train ride close by. They saw that we had 6 and 9 year old boys so they gave us a Christmas room. There were lights everywhere and a fully decorated tree in the room. It was fantastic. They also have a self serve breakfast and my boys ate a lot, so they immediately brought out more food for us. Highly recommend!

This is a basic hotel and the only one in town. The other place to stay is a really old motel. The place is clean, well decorated and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive to guest needs. The breakfast is very basic, with all of the items being prepackaged. This makes sense based on the low volume of guests passing through. This place does the basics well. We will return based on the service we received and the lack of any competition.

Not a $169 a night hotel. Not a bad place. King bed is more a queen. Normally night stands on both sides of a bed, here only one. Not a big deal used the chair as one. Outside noise is almost not heard, but TV in next room is for sure! Breakfast is what you expect in a $59 a night motel. TV is small for the room, channel selection is very good. Probably should be a $99 a night room at best. Check in and reservations where very good.

It was clean and comfortable. Everyone was very nice. The hotel is older and breakfast wasn't great but I'll stay there whenever I'm in that area.
