Koolwink Motel

We had a wonderful stay at this charming vintage motel. It really feels like stepping back in time! The property is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained, with unique character you don’t find in modern hotels. The retro touches give it a nostalgic feel without sacrificing comfort or cleanliness. Our rooms were set back on the hill and it was quiet and peaceful. The owners decorated for Fall and sweet touches of Autumn were seen throughout the property. We will definitely be staying again and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates history.

This is our 4th visit and we will not stay any where else when we come. Yeah there is a name brand hotel a few miles down the road but nothing compares. Rooms are super clean! I walk around barefoot. The tub and shower is spotless no mold! Very quiet. Feels like hanging out in grandma's basement from the 70s! Yeah there is no continental breakfast but let's be honest who wants to have breakfast with a bunch of strangers that all just rolled out of bed! I will take the Koolwink over any name brand hotel!

The Koolwink was just perfect for our overnight stay in Romney. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were as comfortable as any place we have stayed. Some of the units sit up the road in the woods fora delight full of the fall foliage Check in was warm and personable. The Halloween and fall decoration around the property completed the ambiance. If you are in Romney - stay here and you will not be disappointed.

This is an all-time classic mid-century modern American roadside motel. Every little thing is just right. So many lovely little touches. The rooms are clean and pet-free, which is always a blessing. There are many charming little seating areas, including one that is over a cool walking bridge over the ravine that runs behind the motel. Best motel experience I've had in a long long time, maybe ever.

Very unhappy with our recent stay at the Koolwink motel. Let me start with me, I’m a 60 yr old woman who considers herself an honest, God fearing person. That being said, my husband & I took our grandsons there for an overnight stay. We were in Romney for the Polar Express train excursion. Anyway , upon arrival & checking into our room we noticed a hole in the paneling. We notified the front office to report the damage. The clerk didn’t seem concerned & shrugged it off. We checked out the following morning. As we were traveling home the Koolwink clerk called us. He cussed us out , accused my grandsons of vandalism. I was shocked & understandable upset. We were treated unfairly & spoken to rudely. When we tried to explain that we called immediately upon arrival to report damage in our room
