Soudersburg Inn & Suites Lancaster

I’ve stayed at the Soudersburg Hotel four times over the years, and it’s astonishing how quickly and drastically the quality has deteriorated. What used to be a decent budget stay has turned into an outright embarrassment of hospitality.||Let’s start with the reception area. The photos on the website promise a clean, brightly lit, welcoming space with seating. What I walked into was a dimly lit room with every single table and chair shoved into a corner like a forgotten storage closet. Not once during my stay were they set out, making the whole place feel more like a neglected bus station than a hotel lobby.||The woman behind the front desk was about as warm as the lighting – cold and unwelcoming. Extra small bath towels . 4 people on a room only given 2 towels , dirty sheets and bedding , filthy carpet .Shower water pressure horrible , and hot water was at a minimum. I don’t recommend. The staff was friendly that’s the only good thing about our stay . In need of renovation, time to put some money back into what could be a nice place given the location . Many cats wandering and upon walking around it appears that the cats are being fed in the back of hotel on regular basis . Walked out of room found cat droppings on mat at door . Time to clean up renovate, sorry but it’s a thumbs down on this one

Positive: Great location. Negative: There was no soap for the shower or bathroom sink.

Extremely Unsanitary Conditions|A group of 6 of us, stayed overnight on September 12, 2025, and booked two rooms, each with three beds. Unfortunately, the experience was horrible. |We checked in late afternoon, dropped out bags in the room and quickly ran out to get some dinner prior to going the theater. |When we returned from the theater around 10:30 pm and started to settle in, we realized that the rooms appeared neglected—dust accumulation was evident, small insects were visible in ceiling corners, and the floors clearly needed vacuuming. We even found food debris in a few areas.|The most concerning issue was the condition of the beds, particularly the middle bed in one room. This experience was like checking into the TWILIGHT ZONE. I am 74 and |I got a lecture about not smoking in my room and their rule on "no pets". The room was spartan and you could hear the a/c cycle on and off all night long. The outside of all the buildings needs pressure washing to remove the grime.
