The location is absolutely amazing, with stunning scenery all around. The gentle babble of the Colorado River flowing nearby is incredibly soothing and relaxing. The night skies here are breathtaking – incredibly dark and filled with countless stars, perfect for stargazing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; they quickly learned my name and made me feel like a valued guest throughout our stay. Our room was large, spacious, and perfectly suited for traveling with our dog – plenty of room for our furry family member to roam comfortably. However, there were two significant drawbacks that impacted our experience. First, this is a working ranch, so expect authentic ranch noises (animals, equipment, early morning activity) throughout the day. These sounds often cut through t

This place is amazing, the highlight by far is the setting, physical plant and location. It is in an extremely beautiful and secluded and quiet and peaceful spot. There is definitely nowhere else in Moab that compares. And that is the most important factor when traveling to a serene and scenic place like Moab. Besides that, the rooms are very nice, the food is quite good and the service was great. The activity we did, offroading on the mesa, was also sick and really fun. Other than that, we came for hiking and while I loved Arches (40min drive away), there are some amazing hikes right near the hotel that were even better (Fisher Towers trail and Grandstaff canyon were favorites). I was a little concerned by the 4.2 avg rating and you may be too but I don’t understand where anyone could st

Wonderful place, green valley surrounded by red rocks and the Colorado River. The employees made the trip memorable, all very friendly, approachable and helpful. So quiet you could hear a pin drop. The best massage ever and have had them all over the world. Beautiful morning horseback ride, room had real cream and excellent coffee, rocking chairs on porch. Your every need had been carefully thought out. I might have liked more food options but everything was delicious. I would definitely go back again.

Our family of four had a wonderful time at Sorrel River Ranch! We visited in early March and had the ranch to ourselves, it seemed. Everyone was so hospitable and kind- especially Jordon (wrangler) and Miranda (waitress). We enjoyed the amazing views, delicious food, horseback rides, junior wrangler program, animal meet & greet and massage at the spa.

By far the BEST place and restaurant in Moab — and service that truly stands out! We had dinner at Sorrel River Ranch Restaurant the evening after Thanksgiving, and it was hands-down the best meal we’ve had in Moab. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared and the stunning setting makes it even more special. What really made our experience exceptional was our server, Sipho. The restaurant was clearly understaffed that night, and he was singlehandedly hustling between tables — yet he remained graceful and calm. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were honestly some of the best service we’ve ever experienced anywhere. Sorrel Ranch is lucky to have him!
