Solomons Inn Resort + Marina

Intended to go to the Creekside for a nice dinner. However, the menu was really a lunch menu. They still have room to go there. They need to expand their menu to more dinner. Entrees, the food was very good. We had the crab balls which were excellent and had a couple drinks before. We moved on to have dinner someplace else..

We had a renovated room, the bed was very comfy, the room was very nice the only thing I could say about the room was the area carpet looked old and somewhat stained, which surprised us for a renovated room. The breakfast was very nice for self-serve however I noticed there were not enough seating areas to accommodate all the people looking to have breakfast. A couple of years ago the breakfast was actually in the restaurant and that would be a very nice option for the future. Have to give a shout out to Junia, Not only was she very helpful in making the reservation, but getting to meet her during our stay was very much a pleasure. Thank you, Junia!😊

The location was great and they had such a pretty seating area by the pool and bars. I was debating between a 2 stars and 3 stars but landed on 2 for the following reasons: 1. The TV/Wifi. We were not able to watch TV due to it being a AmazonFire tv. We attempted all the apps but were not able to stream anything due to it continuously pausing to load. Very frustrating, especially after traveling. 2. The front desk attendant seemed like she couldn’t care less about what was going on. Not rude, just seemed very annoyed to be there. 3. Shower was hard to use. We called the front desk because we could not get the water on. Turns out you have to literally YANK the handle to even get the water to work. Then to turn it off you had hit the handle in. If it was that difficult for a 31 year old to

I booked and paid for a Water View King Suite but was given a standard room with no view. As soon as I entered the room and realized the issue, I contacted the front desk to request a switch. I was told there was no availability and nothing they could do. I then asked to have my stay charges adjusted accordingly, but they were unable to assist and directed me to email the manager. I emailed the General Manager, Lee Baines, but received no response. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay with poor service, which is unfortunate given how beautiful the hotel is.

Sweet staff, but rooms are in poor condition. On top of that the walls are truly paper thin. Final issue is that the WiFi in the room was so poor you couldn’t actually use it. The Creekside restaurant was hit or miss. Staff had no idea what they were doing and regularly ran out of key ingredients.
