Quality Inn Solomons - Beacon Marina

It an older hotel, but the staff is doing its best to provide grade A service. It suited our needs for a quick one night stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate and after I figured out the heater/cooler the room was "just right"! It is not your ritzy hotel but a throw back to when the roomers talked to each other and small things were not important. I'd stay there again. BTW, throw back also includes the cost of a stay.

This hotel needs an update. It is old and smells like a wet basement. you cannot beat the convivence of its location,or the view of the water. Beds were comfortable but it had 4 of those square pillows. Shower was like a cave. Very tiny. There is no elevator at this hotel. You must drag your luggage up to the second floor via stairs at either end of the hotel. People next to us were very loud but did quiet down around midnight. We had a whirlpool tub in the room that when we turned on the water we almost couldnt get the water turned off. The water nobs just spinned. When we arrived we were told we were "upgraded." Went to the room twice only to find out that each set of keys did not work. Finally the lady at the desk had to come up and change the batteries in the door.

This is a no thrills hotel. The room was a good size and clean, but it often got too warm. They are understaffed at night. The first night I tried to phone the front desk for a wakeup call, but no one answered. The second night I got through, but the wake-up call came an hour earlier than what I asked for. Breakfast choices were limited, but unlike most hotels the bagels were fresh. The hotel is within walking distance to the Calver Marine Museum.

When I booked 2 rooms I was told that they were king size beds with a jacuzzi in both rooms. Attached is a picture showing the bed and the jacuzzi (which is the confirmation page).One room was so dirty that my son, his wife and two children had to leave, they walked in the room and turned around and walked out! I was very disappointed! I just wanted to have a nice weekend with my children and grandchildren before my grandson went to college in Boston…

Was a little shabby, needs a refresh. The room number was not on the wall, no shampoo, the front desk gave me a large bottle that slides on the shower wall but the fixture was installed upside down, the TV did not work until front desk replaced the HDMI cable, tried call the front desk but call would not go through. Laundry rooms were open looked shabby inside would suggest closing those doors leaves a bad impression of the cleanliness of the facility.
