I’ve come to snowbird at least 50 times but have noticed its management get worse and worse. On my most recent visit we struggled to find parking (extremely difficult nowadays) then finally get down to the Peruvian lift. Once there, we find out that my ikon pass has a blackout date and they rolled their eyes and started laughing as a group. I understand blackout dates are out of their control. When I asked how I could get to my car as it was a half mile away up hill they laughed and told us to “get walking”. Safe to say I’ll be skiing at Alta from here on out.
Best place ever! Great quality food, good variety snow and runs. They have enough for beginners, intermediates and experts. Every single lift has at least one beginner way down. Else incredible tree runs great exploration easy to memorize. Love snowbird, come here every winter. Also in the summer, there is awesome hiking.
Beautiful ski location. Absolutely stunning actually. Some of the lifts are very long giving you miles of sking downhill. If you plan on parking I'd recommend planning that early. We were lucky to get valet parking and it was worth every dollar. We used a icon buddy pass giving us a huge discount making it the same cost as Brighton. Would go again in a heartbeat.
After visiting Snowbird for nearly 40 years, I have never felt compelled to leave a negative review until now. Snowbird has always been one of my favorite places in the mountains, both for the skiing/snowboarding and the welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experiences at the new “The Nest” lodge have been disappointing enough that I feel it’s important to share some honest feedback. First, the biggest issue has been food availability. On multiple visits this season, several menu items simply were not available even though they were clearly listed on the menu. For a brand-new lodge, this has been a surprisingly consistent problem and makes ordering frustrating. More concerning, however, is the handling of gluten-free food options. Many items are labeled gluten-free, but in practice th
Snowbird is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever snowboarded. The terrain is unreal, especially if you like steeps and long runs. The snow was insanely good and felt super light, and the views from the top are unreal. It definitely has more of a serious mountain vibe, but that’s what makes it so fun. Every run felt different and challenging in a good way. If you’re into real mountain riding and deep snow, Snowbird is 100% worth the trip. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
