We have stayed here twice in the last couple of months. Both of our cabins were exceptionally clean and well stocked. The hosts leave little extras such as a can of fresh coffee in the fridge along with creamers. Their bathroom towels are soft and thick. They took care of everything from nice soap and shampoo to dish soap. The cottages a very cute, the grounds are beautiful, and the host was easy to communicate with. It is evident that the hosts take pride in the upkeep of their cottages. We feel blessed to have found this little gem.
Me and a friend stayed in Cabin 3 & the photos don't justify how beautiful this property is... The property sits right on the river, which is about 1-3 ft deep, perfect for kayaking & tubing. Off one of the two decks, there is a little area to swim, about 4-5 ft deep. A hammock on one of the decks, multiple seating areas, & a fire-pit. Our cabin (#3) was small, but was the perfect size for the two of us for one night. It was very-clean & kept-up on. It included all of the essentials such as a full-bathroom, hair dryer, coffee maker, full-set dishware / cutlery, a stove & refrigerator, smart-tv, heater, fan, grill, & more... The beds were quite comfortable. There is a Family Dollar 1-minute down the street, which has all of your vacation needs. Food options were very limited, however the
I stayed at the Sleeping Bear Riverside Cabin #1 for 3 separate stays (8 nights total) during April. I found the cabin very clean and cozy. Owners Nevin & Renee provided plenty of consumables such as paper towel, TP, soap, dish soap, coffee and coffee filters. The beds are comfortable and there's enough space for 3 guys to sleep and stow their food and fishing gear. The location is lovely - I've been staying at this location for 50 years and have loved it since I was a little kid. The Platte river is incredibly beautiful and we saw a variety of wildlife including ducks, grouse, turkeys, osprey, eagles, beaver, mink, otters, deer and more. The trout habitat in the river isn't as good as it used to be, but I still love fishing the Platte. If lucky enough to catch a fish to keep, there's a gr
The owners are amazing! They are so nice and make sure I have everything I need. They give me more towels and toilet paper. They are amazing problem solvers and they are amazing at what they do! I had a frozen pipe and didn't have water they figured it out and made sure I had everything I needed! If you are wanting to stay somewhere magical this is the place! You get to wake up to the river right here next to you! Even in the snow it's like a winter wonderland here!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!
Very clean and right on the beautiful river, however the couch and chair had no cushion left in them so it seemed like we were sitting on the wood. We had a down day due to cold weather/rain and the heater didn't work. As a matter of fact it looked like it had caught fire at one time. Being right on the river was a total bonus.
