Honor Motel

We live near the hotel and used it because of being out of power. The owner Kate was friendly and helpful with questions. The room was VERY CLEAN WITH CRISP CLEAN SHEETS; and comfortable. The heat worked great. 😁 The shower had great pressure. The hotel is on the older side but nicely updated. We were in a small unit with a queen bed; just right for a couple. Thankful they were open during extremely cold weather. I would recommend this motel to others.

The Honor Motel is a very clean, reasonably priced & convenient motel in beautiful upper Michigan in the cute town of Honor. It’s very close to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort which makes a nice alternative place to stay for outdoor winter enthusiasts that want a more quiet & serene place to stay. There are a number of great restaurants within both walking & driving distance of the motel. My husband & I plan to stay here for future cross country ski trips. The rooms include a large screen TV, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator and WiFi. The motel management is also very friendly, respectful & organized & offers contactless check-in & check-out.

Nice, clean and quiet. I reserved for 1 night to do the Sleeping Bear Marathon the next day. This review is based on room #7. The room had double beds with a mini fridge and microwave. Very spacious. Only critique I may have is the bathroom was a little small but it did its job. When I’m in the area next time I will definitely stay here. I would recommend this to anyone!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Owner was very quick to respond to our concerns. The location was ideal for exploring lakes, attractive towns and villages, for lighthouses and beaches. Even in the winter it was fun to explore various beaches and hear and see the waves rolling in. Frankfurt is great for a coffee and bakery treat. Trees were still colorful when we arrived and scenery beautiful. Farms where we bought local honey and maple syrup.

We were very happy with our stay. It is an older motel but very well kept and updated. It was clean and comfortable and is right on US-31 so easy access. Excellent communication from the owners and very reasonable rates. Will definitely stay there again.
