Skyview Los Alamos

We stayed at SkyView for a week and it was an incredible stay. The restaurant was great quality and the crew was so attentive and kind. We were got something new to try each night. The pool was not as deep as we thought but we were still able to enjoy a nice soak. We got a room with a patio to lounge for when the sun was out and we got a great view of the highway, we could only hear the road inside when the door was open so the noise wasn't a problem. The room had a mini bar and snacks available which we appreciated. It was a quick check in and check out, we had no issues at all. Overall a 10/10 vacation stay.

During check in, the front desk agent mentioned as an offhanded comment about the pool bar that the pool was closed. I asked if it would be open later that evening or the next day as that was our entire reason for our staycation trip. She said no, it had been closed for a week. She said they had let guests know ahead of time but since we booked through a third party, they didn't have our contact info, and it was basically too bad for us. I expressed disappointment more than once during check in (like y'all, I had packed two bathing suits for a one night stay. That pool was my plan), and it was passed over. She mentioned the restaurant and bar closing times. No alternative or offer was suggested at any point. So crummy situation. I reached out to the third party that evening to try and rec

The Skyview Los Alamos is one of my fav places to stay in the Santa Ynez wine country! My wife and I have been coming here since 2018 and it has never disappointed. Our last visit in Jul 2025 was just great. On top of that, you are basically in the heart of wine country and can visit so many wonderful vineyards with a short (and scenic) drive.||The rooms all quite nice. We've been in the standard and one with slightly larger room. The king beds are quite comfy and the bathrooms have a nice bit of room to them. I do have to say the pillows are fairly firm and can bit a bit uncomfortable at times if you don't like that. The AC works great in the summer heat. The rooms all open to a central courtyard with chairs and a fireplace that is lovely to sit around in the evening. Actually saw a Space

Great one-night stay. Nice room with patio, and the bed was well-made with great cotton sheets and two types of pillow comfort. The grounds are beautiful. Only bummer was the pool was closed for rehab and will be thru March. Attentive staff, super quick check-in.

Pros: The room vibes are excellent, the bed is super comfortable, and the selection of books on the nightstand was top notch. Service at the restaurant was excellent. Cons: Our room wasn't ready at check-in time (3pm) on a Monday and the person working at the front desk seemed annoyed by her job. The heated pool was cold (they say they heat it to the low 70s, which felt about right, since 78-82 is standard for a heated pool).
