I’m hesitant to write this review only because the more campers who find out about this “hidden gem in Georgia,” the busier it’s going to get. But honestly, it was too good not to share… especially as someone who does a fair amount of tent camping. I’ll be honest, I thought this was part of the Skull Shoals Experimental Forest, but quickly realized it was probably its own thing. Which for me, did not disappoint. Getting there was a breeze. The signage going in was clear and helpful, and heading back to the tent sites was simple. Once I arrived, I was blown away by the views on the property. Everything was clean, well-kept, and felt very safe. I’ve genuinely never felt safer at a campground before. Sure, my buddy and I were the only ones at the tent sites, but even the folks staying on th
"Hidden Gem in Georgia!" I had a fantastic experience at Skull Shoals Park & Campground! The campsites are spacious, level, and well-maintained—perfect for both tents and RVs. The atmosphere is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful wedding and meeting area on-site with its whimsical vibe and unique treelined setting. I also loved that the park hosts events and has a well appointed outdoor amphitheater, which adds a special touch you don’t find at most campgrounds. It’s also close to the several historic sites, which made for a great day trip. Whether you're camping or attending an event, this place is a hidden gem. Can’t wait to come back!
Delightful experience camping overnight. Beautiful utilities and got to meet the owners, David and Charity. Nicest people. Definitely gifted in hospitality. Showed us the event venues and we can’t wait to go to a music festival or wedding there. They’ve done a marvelous job!
Charity and David met us as soon as we pulled in with our travel trailer. Very accommodating. They said they would be back after we were settled in to give us a tour in their Polaris four seater 4x4. They did and we had a great time touring the grounds and visiting with Charity and David. David is a man on fire to make his dreams come true. They are both extremely magnetic and lovely people to visit with. The rv sites have water electric and sewer. At the top of the property there Is a an area designated to host very big festivals with everything a group will need for weddings, music or large group get togethers. You won’t be disappointed.
This campground is a beautiful place We loved the time we spent there and cant wait to go visit again!
