Skokomish Park at Lake Cushman

I gave this place a 1 star, and sadly we never even got to experience it. We had reservations to camp there this weekend, however due to a wildfire near by and heavy smoke in the area we had to cancel. I understand there are cancelation fees in place but charging almost 50% to cancel is outrageous. We did not cancel due to poor planning or just not wanting to go, but for medical reasons we can not camp that close to smoke. Yet we were still charged $63.00 to cancell our weekend trip that was $135.00. That seems absolutely absurd. This is not a place that we would want to stay. Pure greed

RV sites can be very tight to get in and out. Love the woodsy camping. Staff seems nice. Very pricey for day use on weekends at $25! Also, I've never camped anywhere with such a late check in time of 3pm! Would be much nicer if it was a few hours earlier so you have more of the day after setting up. And then out by 11am,

Overall the site was just ok. It was very rocky and quite a bit of dirt, no grassy area. Cars driving down main road and beyond loud all night long. Campers around us did not follow quiet times. Day use folks parked in our spaces, even blocking us in. Let’s talk about the bathrooms. It was beyond dirty. We were there for 5 days and everyday it was very unclean. The stall walls were dirty and the shower consistently had dirt in it, even on the bench to put your stuff on. Charging folks 25 cents per minute and the water doesn’t even come out hot, several seconds of your 1 min are wasted waiting for warm water. And with all the sites, there’s only 1 shower for each gender. Paper towels were constantly and toilet paper was rarely changed. I won’t be going here again, not worth my mon

$25:00 to use the park for the day, plenty of picnic tables and parking. Once the mist lifted it was beautiful, plenty to do in the water. I didn't stay here only day use.

Lake cushman has been a home a way from home. Whenever I have the change to vacation here I know my time there will be worthwhile.
