Nice spacious campsites. Make sure to bring plenty of water. There are vault toilets that are maintained. Make sure also to bring your debit card to pay for your site. We were in site 15 which was huge but right next to the entrance. Which honestly wasn't bad. Most of the sites are huge. Bigger than the majority of campgrounds we've been too. There was a small trail that lead to the trail to go to the creek. Which we really enjoyed. We also loved that Rangers came around 2 to 3 times a day checking everything out. My only 2 issues were 1. The kids in another site being constant nuisances. Had to tell them several times not to run up to my dogs. 2. The woman in the site next to us was very loud and she complained about everything non stop all day for 4 days until quiet time. We finally

I first went to Hamma Hamma last year on 4th of July. We hadn't thought about all the other campers that would be around during this busy weekend. We were stopped by a ranger right after turning off of 101 (my boyfriend wasn't wearing his seatbelt) and he informed us that all the sites at Hamma Hamma AND Lena Creek were all full. But the cool part was the ranger also told us we could pull off the road and just camp wherever - which is pretty cool considering many sites are very strict about where people can camp. He also directed us to the best place to pull off and camp.||We discovered a nice little spot that was far away from people yet not deep in the woods. We now call it 'our spot'. This last week we returned to it and explored more. ||This area has a lot of really cool hidden c

We loved being by the river, it was so relaxing to just sit there and listen to nature.

Hamma Hamma - Olympic NF - Eldon, WA - 575’ $15/night Right off NFR25, 6 miles from the 101. Fifteen sites all FCFS. Pack it in and pack it out. Trail along the Hamma Hamma River, one of the clearest rivers I’ve seen in a long time. The Hamma Hamma Cabin along the Living Legacy Trail of the CCC history building the area. Lena Creek campground and the Lena Lake trail are 2 miles away.

Starting with the cons: there's no potable water at the campground/bathrooms, and it seems like there's no one managing this campground. Some jerks were blasting loud music until after midnight despite there being signs posted that quiet hours were 10pm. The pros: this location is absolutely beautiful. There's a nice little trail with some historical placards that runs through the campground. There are two convenient locations to access the Hamma Hamma river, just minutes away from any campsite. The forest itself was beautiful with this rusty autumn moss covering most of the trees.
