Had a great time and the runs that were open were groomed very well. Very few lifts were running which was kind of a bummer. They closed the gondola very early which was the only way to get from the very bottom to the top. Overall it needs a lot of maintenance and appears quite run down. Especially considering the price of a lift ticket.

This place would have gotten a 5 star from me had everything not been so expensive. You can definitely rent equipment in town for half the price and I highly recommend doing that. We paid for lessons, and I'm glad we did because the instructors were fun people to be around and left us feeling confident to try the slopes on our own. My sister forgot her gloves so we ran to the shop hoping to grab a pair only to find the cheapest ones to be $40. We didn't even bother to eat here. However, the actual skiing experience was amazing. For a Saturday, it wasn't overwhelming and it was nice to see people of all ages be able to enjoy the snow.

I went up there yesterday offseason and it was closed but they allow people to hike up and through the area, or perhaps they just don't prevent you from hiking. It looks like they've mostly recovered from the fires and I was surprised to see a lot of dead trees across the road not toolong ago - debris being still on the roadway. .Very few people take the time to drive up that far but it was well worth the drive. I went on about three different trails up that way towards lookout mountain and towards Sierra Blanca. I've never been skiing, so my observation has to be in context but it does seem pretty rocky up there. I'd be interested to see how it compares to other places because I'm thinking I might like to go skiing up that way. The one video I posted is between the highest point of th

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ski Apache is one of those rare ski areas that truly works for everyone. Whether you’re introducing young kids to skiing for the first time, easing back into it after a few seasons off, or looking for longer runs and great views, this mountain delivers. The variety of terrain makes it easy for mixed-ability groups to have a great day together, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and well-run. What really stands out is how approachable the experience feels—good lift access, friendly staff, and an environment that makes you want to come back again and again. Days like this are a reminder of why so many families fall in love with Ruidoso and choose to put down roots here or own a second home nearby. When recreation, community, and quality of life line up this well, it

The mountains were perfectly groomed. There was a good amout of snow. The employees on the lifts did a great job of pairing people up, and getting the lines moving quickly, and the food was literally the best I've ever had a ski area. The fish and chips were better than some I've had in San Diego. There were also a lot of paramedics there. 10/10 guys and gals keep up the good work. 🤘🏻🇺🇸
