Silver Mountain Gondola House

As a thriller and romance author, I look for places that give me both adrenaline and perspective, and Silver Mountain Resort delivers on both. I genuinely enjoy skiing here in the winter and coming back for mountain biking and hiking in the summer. One of the best parts of Silver is the gondola ride up to the mountain. You load once at the base and ride to the top, then ski from there. It makes the whole experience feel smoother, and you’re not constantly getting your pass scanned every single run. At the very top there’s a well-designed beginner area with a proper bunny hill and a magic carpet. New skiers can stay up there all day and build confidence without feeling rushed. One time I came here with a pair of Solomon skis. I was going a little to fast and crashed and split one of the skis in half. Some guy there told me that ski looked like a banana peal. I ask if I could get some of my money back because I wasn't there very long and my ski was destroyed. They said no. It was a expensive day. They have a real nice lodge and a big upstairs bar that is nice. I have a great time everytime I come here.

The Gondola ride was really enjoyable, we dressed warm and enjoyed the veiw as we rode. Workers so friendly and kind too.

Very unique experience! Tickets were a little costly but we could ride all day if we wanted. We didn't make a reservation so i was surprised we were able to take a ride. This is something I've always wanted to do. Pretty awesome that it's the longest gondola ride in North America. Staff were amazing. The food in the restaurant at the top was delicious. There was a bounce house for kids and some other fun things to do. A scenic ski lift was also available to ride. Rode over a small street with house which was cool! I plan to make this an annual adventure!
