Silver Lake Stockton Camp

Love staying here! Such fun for the whole family and a great break from technology.

Silver lake is the most magical place I have ever camped. I first visited with a friends church group around 1996. It was such a significant moment in my life that I have recommended it every chance I have had. On one trip my son and I watched as a bald eagle back then on the endangered species list flew over us preparing I imagine to grab the fish we were fighting as he made several approaches in a slight diving trajectory but never locking in and commiting. My son a future entomologist was in awe of how huge the bird was. Absolutely a magical place 10 miles from Kirkwood ski resort.

Exquisite cascading granite boulder formations with tumbling and then pooling alpine water. The trail was empty when my friend and I hiked the 1 mile flat trail. I'm not going to tell you exactly where the parking lot and trailhead are!

Although the drive is far, there is no place like it: the cabins that they are redoing are really nice, it is a great place for kids, they make all of the food for you, the prices are pretty cheap, it is a great place for kids, and all of the trails, the lake and the nature are amazing. The weather is always perfect and the air is so nice. Friendly staff too

Casual, almost camping but with individual cabins and all food provided for you. This is perhaps our 20th time staying at the Stockton Silver Lake camp starting when our children were small and now our grand children are with us. We've already signed up for next year!
