Sierra Sands Family Lodge

We’ve stayed at just about every hotel in Silver Lake over the years and Sierra Sands is by far the best. The rooms are large, beautifully kept, and have the most comfortable beds you’ll find anywhere in town. The whole property is spotless and well cared for, and the pool is awesome. The owner goes above and beyond for his guests. He is kind, friendly, and truly accommodating. One night my son and I accidentally locked ourselves out of our camper and he went out of his way to make sure we had a place to stay with the most comfortable bed in Silver Lake. That kind of care and hospitality is rare and really sets this place apart. If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Silver Lake, this is it.

This place is a gem! It is family run and probably one of the cleanest places we have stayed in. The outside is very well maintained and the rooms are exactly as pictured and described. We stayed in the kids suite with the bunk beds and queen room. The kids loved it! Beds were comfortable. Coin operated washer and dryer were available and front desk could change out bills. Pool and hot tub were well maintained and the kids enjoyed them and the playground. Tea and coffee were always available by the pool area. The owner gave a great recommendation for dinner and was always a joy to interact with. This place has a ton of trailer parking if needed. Wish more hotels were like this one!!

Small, beautiful, clean, reasonably priced rooms. The hotel was great. The staff was amazing. They were helpful above and beyond what was expected. We had transportation issues and they stepped up and helped us out and allowed us to stay until we got a car. I cannot express how great they were to my family.

The lodge is a bit dated on decor. It was clean and the staff was great. I was just passing through but can see why it is popular with people there to ride the dunes. They have extra long parking on the outside of the lot and I saw many trailers backed into spots with the trucks still attached. The pool looked small but great.

Rooms are very clean. Staff is super helpful. Pam (air traffic controller) is very friendly. Thank you accommodating our truck and trailer parking! Can’t wait to return and stay again.
