Shooting Star Motel

Lovely place to rent a cabin by lake Lamond. Usually quiet, spacious clean cabins at a decent price for how many you can fit. Even got married here!

First time here and the last, carpet is gross , corners in the bathroom have crud in them like they ain't been scrubbed in months, shower is kinda clean but should be replaced, bugs smashed on walls and still hanging there . No frig , desk chair is totally gross to the point I would not sit on it even with my dirty work clothes on , a few dead bugs laying around along the walls and the looks of boogers sticking on the walls. Dresser drawers are filthy. If there was another place to stay close by id be gone, gonna have to ruff it out for the night. Dam idk bout this.

5 star to the desk clerk, very helpful and accommodating. Keep in mind this is a budget motel, with that being said, the bed is comfortable but flooring needs up dating, room does not lock on the inside, shower unit is clean but showing age. This is a pet friendly hotel and has a nice area to exercise dogs, which is important to us.

The hot water in the bigger rooms is not hot it doesn't pass 65 degrees and I had to shower in cold water with my baby because they can't fix their shit

Haven't stayed there yet, going up there for business in a couple weeks, but just getting a room booked was a complete fiasco. Phone number doesn't work when you call direct and when you call the casino, follow the prompts to contact the motel, it goes to a full voicemail box and then just hangs up on you. Finally just rang for an operator thru the general Shooting Star line and he was able to book a room for me, but made very certain I knew that this wasn't usually his responsibility nor did he have any time whatsoever for any of my feedback about the challenges I encountered. Gonna be a great trip....
