Ship Harbor Inn

This place has such a great location. I’ve got little cabins. They’ve got normal hotel rooms, and plenty of room to walk around. We had a little cabin and our front window looked right at the ferry dock about a quart of a mile away and we watched ferries come in and out. Just a beautiful place. The rooms are affordable older, but it’s very well kept up.

My wife and I really liked the Ship Harbor Inn. Its location Is nice and the view is okay. The access roads to the various cabins are a little narrow, which is fine, but you do need to be very aware of your driving. I love the vibe! I love the feel, the rooms were very clean, and the staff exceedingly friendly. I knocked down service to four stars, because in the kitchenette, we found some dirty silverware and a pan that needed more scrubbing. Though I do fully understand that if they're at all busy, the staff have a lot to do and not a ton of time to do it in. It is absolutely worth a stop. And we will definitely be going back.

Positive: It was clean! It was warm. Nice view. Well maintained. Quiet, Quiet. Breakfast Lite was just ok. Good price for the room. Slept well. Negative: I would have liked to have picked the room. The stairs down to the room were a little difficult for my wife, I would have picked an upstairs room instead. Mr. Stompy was renting the room upstairs, above us, fortunately they kept the same hours we did.

Great accommodations, location, outdoor areas, clean, quiet, very large room w/fireplace and well kept. Everything functioned well and breakfast was a well-stocked continental. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Fast check-in &out, great value for the area, we wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed many aspects of our cabin suite at Ship Harbor Inn — the location is peaceful, with beautiful water views, ferries to watch, and deer outside. The layout is spacious, parking is convenient, and the bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We knew the cabin was a bit dated, but chose it specifically for the quiet location and view. We don’t usually leave reviews, especially negative ones, but felt it was important to share our experience. The room wasn’t as clean as we expected — there was pet hair, crumbs, sticky spots on the table, a greasy handprint on the bathroom window, and a tissue stuffed under the bedroom door — and unfortunately, this means we won’t be staying in a cabin here again, though we might try a non-pet-friendly room.
