Customer Reviews
My husband and I got married at Loch Aerie Mansion (across the street) and stayed at the Sheraton Great Valley. We had a room block at the hotel and also had our after-party in the downstairs ballroom. Everything went very smoothly! Kerry was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and helpful. She was easy to work with and made the room block process easy. Currently, they are under renovations, so their kitchen/bar was unavailable for our after-party. Kerry was able to help us with making alternative arrangements for our after-party for a very reasonable price. The hotel was clean and beautiful. The Presidential Suite was incredible and spacious. We were able to have many members of the wedding get ready in the suite comfortably, along with hair and makeup artists. For the wedding
We booked a room block at Sheraton Hotel for our wedding in September, and they made the entire process effortless. The sales coordinator, Kerry, was highly responsive and set up a custom booking link that worked perfectly for our guests. What really earned the 5 stars was the personable interactions with the staff, especially Kerry. Kerry deserves a raise for how well she handled all the hiccups for us! She is a superstar and was always available to answer any and all questions! They allowed us to drop off welcome bags early and were flexible with early entrance to rooms for our parents. The after party was hosted in the conference room and the staff was incredibly accommodating to our late-night crowd. Highly recommend for any couple wanting a stress-free home base!" Fortunately we did not have similar experiences others have written about. Yes, this is an older property in need of a major refresh. It was purchased last year and hopefully new management will sink some money into this hotel which has existed for centuries. Staff was very friendly; one staff member greeted us at the door, brought a luggage rack and took it to our room. Room was spacious with comfy bed. Bathroom included shower bar and magnifying mirror (wish Marriott had these in all its properties). When I booked I did see restaurant was closed; be aware there is no food. No complimentary coffee in lobby, no little fridge with yogurt, pastries, etc. There is a coffee maker in room. Room was very clean.
Positive: Zip. Negative: 1. No advance warning that the restaurant was closed because of "refrigeration" problem. 2. No coffee service available in the lobby (does not require "refrigeration"). 3. Ridiculously loud a/c unit in room. 4. Rooms needed renovation years ago.
The hotel is pretty old and definitely feels run-down. It could really use some updates and restoration. That being said, Truman completely made up for it with his amazing hospitality. He went out of his way to take care of our team while we were in town for work and made sure we had everything we needed. His attitude and willingness to help are what made our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself has its flaws, but Truman’s service truly stood out.
