Staying here was truly the gift of a lifetime. It was the coziest, most relaxing trip in the best area!!! Susan is an incredibly warm host and an amazing cook! In the lodge alone there was so much to do - we read in the cozy living room, chatted with Susan (she is truly a genius), watched a movie with new friends by a crackling fire, and enjoyed bird watching in the snow. Getting to wake up to a full, fresh breakfast was just the icing on the cake. The rooms were impeccable - clean and beautiful. Great nature views. Susan really thought of everything when it comes to design and making sure you feel at home. And finally, it couldn’t be more perfectly located. Susan is an amazing host, her breakfasts are amazing. ||The lodge is beautiful, clean and welcoming. We brought our cat and that was not an issue. This was wonderful as most places are only dog friendly. There are several trails that you can explore, but it was too cold this trip. We will definitely be back in the spring or summer. ||If you are going to be in the Berkshire region this is the place to stay .

If you're considering staying in the area, look no further than this place. The Sheffield Lodge is SUCH a beautiful place to stay, and in such a nice area. The owner, Susan, is the nicest person I have ever met in my entire life. She is always available and makes a phenomenal breakfast. Our dog loved it here, too! I was there last month with a friend and this place is a GEM! We were the only guests there that weekend and were skiing at Catamount. Susan was so sweet and her hospitality was 5 stars. The breakfast in the am was so delicious and she worked with our schedule to make us breakfast. I would love the recipe to those muffins because they were delish. The lodge is a 12 min. drive to Catamount and there was plenty of space in the common area to stretch out. We had access to the kitchen and the fireplace area. I would definitely be staying here again when I ski at Catamount.

My partner and I drove up from Brooklyn to give the Sheffield Lodge a try, and we are so glad that we did. Susan has done an amazing job of fine tuning an experience for her guests that feels luxurious, homey, and restful. There were so many great examples of her attention to detail and willingness to provide the best possible experience through her preparation and hospitality. It was a rather snowy and icy day, so from the moment we arrived she jumped into action to help us get our car situated. There were cookies and coconut macaroons, various drinks at the ready and a bottle of wine available for an added cost.
