We had a great experience at the campground. We ended up choosing the Salmonberry spot and it was surrounded by birch trees and had great separation from the other campgrounds. Dale was very helpful and great to talk with. The $10 campfire package ended up working amazingly with a firestarter, kindling and a ton of firewood (to the point where we couldn't use it all in one night). I didn't personally use the showers, but the people in my group that used them said they were the perfect temperature. Only thing that ended up not working as well for us was the Wifi, which worked well near the main building but not as well near the campgrounds.
My friend and I stayed here on a roadtrip. Dale was super kind over the phone and gave very helpful directions/instructions. It was a beautiful experience waking up on the campsite! Will definitely stay here again whenever we come back!
A truly special location, made even better by the fantastic host that is Dale, who has overwhelmed us with kindness, hospitality and local knowledge. Fantastic campsite with all nessecities, and perfectly located for all the local hikes/beaches/sites. Each site is submerged in the woods and secluded in its own area for a true sense of outdoor woodland wilderness. A true adventure (and lots of frogs). When we’re next in the area, we won’t hesitate to return! Thank you Dale!!!
Very nice, quiet, out-of-the-way spot to set up camp in what's left of the old Olympics. Owners here are very kind, direct, personable folks who are happiest when their guests are happy. The location is easily accessible yet quiet and authentic native Olympic forest just a short drive from the ocean shore and LaPush with its offshore fishing vessels and fishing tours. When the skies are clear at night the view of the stars is spectacular, as this area has some of the least sound and light pollution in the lower 48 states. There are a few nice trailers there, available to rent, but it seems that one or 2 of them at any given time seem to mostly have longer-term renters living in them.
Was nice except it was right next to a road.
