Shady Maple Campground

I have my camper here and we love it so far! The campground is mostly shaded and all our neighbors are very friendly. There is no pool or rec room but if you just want peace and quiet this is a great place and only a few miles to raystown.😁🏞

My family had a camp at Shady Maple for just shy of 50 years. You will find the fellow campers friendly. The numerous trees provide welcome relief from the mid-day sun. Many great memories were made there, but time changes things. After the tragic passing of their father the boys now manage the camp, and you will find them significantly less than welcoming. This toxic environment caused many of my family members to leave and buy their own camps at other sites or stop going to the lake altogether. A few of us stuck it out till the end. If you are looking for a site to park your camper at Shady Maple here are some things to consider.
