Shade Valley Camp Resort

The check-in guy was rude. Charged $300 for a bracelet to see a bunch of 80's rock and cover bands that I didn't want to see. Way out past the Buffalo chip, opposite road of Full throttle. Beautiful main Bar area. No headline bands and all the same genre. Mix it up and have atleast one headline band if you are going to charge $300 for a wristband. $80 for a visitor to come for one night so, don't invite your friends over. Bar tenders weren't happy as not enough people to make any money. I will hard pass for next rally. No soap in Men's bathroom to wash hands. Only found one handicap toilet for a campground full of old people like me.

I will admit when I seen the photos about Shade Vally camp ground I was nervous seeing that you had to walk to the bathroom and showers. But once we arrived it was really nice! The bathroom/shower area was SUPER CLEAN! We were very impressed!! They kept it very well maintained. Even for the go johns they cleaned them out everyday! It was very nice to see that they kept everything well maintained. I can’t speak well enough about how they put a lot of effort to having people keep it so clean. ||The only thing was that we stayed till sun morning that day the rally was over. The campground had no band show Friday or Sat. . It was very quite When we went up to check out the entertainment and it was like a ghost town. I do understand that people did leave the Friday but I thought there should of

(Aug 6-10 2025) One of the Best Campgrounds Ive stayed at. The Shower/Bathrooms are Clean, well Lit and plenty of HOT Water...(10/10, Would POOP Again! haha). There are literally HUNDREDS of Water/Electric RV sites available as well as Tent and 'Boon Dock' sites for the Brave Campers. The Property was well kept and in Great condition. The staff that I met were Friendly, Informative and Accommodating. Thanks again to TIM, 'SHORTY', and Especially RYAN who took me on a Tour of the Property. There are 2 Stages on the Property that host Live Music during the STURGIS Rally with a Third being considered pending some renovation. It IS a bit of a drive out of town, (10-15 min) but easy to get to as its on the same stretch of road from Downtown Sturgis. Thanks again to the Staff and Crew at S

Great campground, staff, and concert venue! The 4 star location rating is simply because they are 12 miles east of Sturgis....closer would be better, that's all.

This place used to be great but under new management is not anymore. Have been going to Shade Valley for years. They built a nice new stage but at least one night there were only 15 to 20 people there watching the band. I felt sorry for the bands No tatoo shop. No riding bull. No zip line. No Da Bus. Food is too expensive and garbage. No people. Prices are a way out of line for what you get. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else?
