Wilderness Tabernacle Shabbat Retreat in Huntsville, TX is the best well kept secret hidden in plain sight. Our youth leaders planned a trip to the Shabbat Retreat to expose our youth to the exquisite replicas of the Tabernacle furnishings nestled in the woods of Huntsville. Our youth were welcomed with open arms. They had the pleasure of watching a video of the wilderness tabernacle and a question and answer session from the video and the lesson previously taught at our church. Each child journeyed within the Tabernacle, being reminded of God's desire to dwell with His people. It was the most incredible day! Very accommodating up to the point of step by step directions and personal contact way after operating hours. I was tent camping. It has a rustic, simplistic set up in the common areas and definitely resets the environment of being in the outskirts of a major city. No one was on the property. Had the place to myself and they made sure to both greet me and check on me in the morning before leaving. Would return!
