Much better than expected from the reviews! Nice hotel with a well maintained garden and pool in the middle. I did like the refurbished rooms. Had an oversized one with a backyard view, next time I would prefer garden view even if the room is smaller. The only concern is the quite loud AC/heating in the room. I shut it off at night. 2nd floor does not have an elevator. No problem for me. Location is close to the PCH so its very convenient but not quiet. You can easily walk to Seacliff beach from here in 10-15 minutes. Highly recommended beach! Front desk team was always very polite, friendly and attentive! They sent me someone to replace a broken bulb at the nightstands within 15 minutes. Staff 5 stars!

Beebe | @GonnaHappen I stayed at the Seacliff Inn in Aptos while commuting every morning to work the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in Monterey, and it ended up being a great home base for the week. Right away, the atmosphere stood out. The property has a relaxed, coastal vibe, and from what I saw, the bartending staff and live music/jazz scene here can be a real highlight. It feels like the kind of place that would be perfect for a Valentine’s Day date night—and if you don’t have a date (like me 😂), it’s still totally small single screen and was family-friendly with a comfortable, welcoming energy. Positive: I love the location and the cleanliness of this hotel. The staff is very friendly. The bar has live music and delicious food. Being a mother of three, I appreciate that there is a Safeway across the street, Pete?s coffee, & Seacliff State Beach. Negative: Nothing that I do not enjoy about this hotel.

I was in charge of organizing a room block well in advance for my daughter’s Sept 20, 2025 wedding in Aptos at a family compound . We used about 20 rooms for out of town guests and my wife and I decided to stay at the hotel out of solidarity even though I had some trepidations. We are long time Hyatt Globalists and have fairly high standards. I think all in all as far as I can tell most of our wedding guests were satisfied. This is at best a “ long in the tooth” glorified motel and during their “high season” in September when the weather is great their prices are ridiculously high for what you get but that’s not my real complaint. I ended up wasting hours of my time in person at the Front Desk and on the phone and email trying to arrange things in advance and on location during our stay th

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the pillows are great, the hotel is quiet, and the blackout curtains are dark. The grounds are beautiful, parking is mostly plentiful most of the time, and the pool is heated. On the downside, there is no easily accessible all day coffee pot or source of hot water for tea except for the coffee machine in the rooms; which I never trust because I have an overactive imagination, and the ice machines are inconveniently located. There are no elevators in the buildings. And Lastly, electrical outlets are few and far between.
