Sea View Inn Grover Beach

On the positive side, there were no bedbugs. That’s pretty much it for the highlights. About the best description I can come up with for this place is that it has all the charm and ambiance of a Hotel 6 circa 1970 except the Hotel 6 would have been cleaner. There were stains on the bed linens and blankets and mildew on the shower walls. Amenities were few — an iron and ironing board and a wall-mounted hair drier that my wife couldn’t use because of the foul odor it blew out when she turned it on. There was also a single-cup coffee maker. The owners are exceedingly…thrifty. There was no maid service provided, we had to make our own bed and had to ask twice for fresh towels and more coffee for the second day of our stay, then finally go get them ourselves.

My husband and I have stayed there the past 2 weekends. The first weekend we had to book the room really late, we showed up at almost 1 am. The owner knew we were coming and he stayed awake to wait for us. The room was so beautiful. The bed was really comfy. I see a lot of people complaining about the rooms smelling and so far the 2 rooms we have had didn't smell at all. I felt very safe the whole time. The owner is a very sweet man and treated us very well. He didn't even charge us a deposit. Due to our current temporary situation, we have had to stay at different hotels and this one is the best. The hotel across the street is the horrible one. Motel 6 in Pismo, awful. I will forever stay at this place when we need a room. Thank you for being so kind to us during this bad time in our lif

This lovely inn had superb service and cleanliness. The owners went over the top to ensure we were comfortable. It felt like coming home. Close to restaurants and just far enough away from the terror of tourists, it was a delightful surprise. I’ll come back to it every time as long as the owners own it. What a great way to visit the beach at the height of the season at a budget friendly price!

The View of the sea from the western rooms is almost completely blocked by the new Condos! This Family owned business is an affordable and smart choice if you are visiting the Pismo Beach and surrounding areas. Walking distance from Excellent Restaurants and shops. No car needed to be get your meals. The shore is less than a mile walk! It's a Good budget friendly place to stay.
