American Inn Grover Beach

I like this motel very much. The guys at the reception desk were nice and understanding of me being a tired traveler. Room is large with several nice amenities, e.g., tv, couch, table and chair to work on my laptop, microwave, and refrigerator. Nice touches throughout for not much money. Basic, not fancy. Located near the beach and stores/restaurants too. I'd stay here again.

Booked this room through Orbitz. Just needed place to sleep for the night. This fit the bill. Nothing fancy. I think rate was $100 for a Friday night. It’s close to the beach. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Family run. I got a room on second floor. Seemed clean. Air condition unit was pretty loud but didn’t bother me. A lot of street construction going on in vicinity. I stayed on a Friday night so Saturday morning they weren’t working but imagine it could be loud. No frills stay for the night.

We stayed here for the Break-A-Wave event put on by Cal-Poly and were super impressed with the rooms. The beach was about a 10 minute walk and the area was surrounded by shops. The rooms were very clean and updated recently. The beds were comfortable, roomy, and clean. Definitely on the list to revisit!

My girlfriend and I stayed for one night and were both very impressed. Check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. The room was incredibly clean and smelled great, which we rarely see even at hotels that cost twice or more than this one. Free toiletries are provided. AC worked great. The location is perfect -- right in the town center, but also off of the main road so traffic noise isn't a bother. For the price it can't be beat. The next night we tried a more expensive hotel, and honestly wished we just got another night here instead.

We showed up 13 minutes past checkout (my fault for not checking the fine print) but the guy came back down to check us in when he didn't have to and was super nice and welcoming. Room was very clean and cute, beds were extremely comfortable, and the location was close enough to the highway to be convenient but far enough away to be totally quiet.
